The Vanuatu CBI Application Process, Step By Step (CIIP & DSP Options)

The process is document-driven and typically completed within 30–60 days, depending on due diligence and application readiness.

STEP 1: Initial Consultatation

Get in touch for an initial eligibility pre-assessment, and provide us with a copy of your passport.

Once we complete our initial client vetting, you sign our term sheet, and the formal application process commences.

STEP 2: File Compilation

Prepare all the necessary documents, including the Nomination Form, certified copies of your passport and identity card, as well as a police clearance certificate from your country of origin. In addition, your due diligence report, a medical assessment certificate, as well as a personal resume outlining your education, professional qualifications and employment history must be compiled. Include birth and marriage certificates (if applicable).

STEP 3: Due Diligence

Pay an initial $5,500 to start the due diligence process. The primary will pay an application fee after submitting all documents and nomination applications to your authorized DSP/CIIP agent. This allows the Vanuatu government to begin background checks and due diligence on you (as the primary applicant). Please note that this fee is non-refundable, in the unlikely event that your application is declined.

STEP 4: Application Submission

File your application through an authorized Vanuatu CIIP or DSP agent (in this instance, us). The Vanuatu government authorizes qualifying agents to handle Citizenship By Investment applications – you cannot apply to the government without working with an approved agent. Your citizenship agent will submit the completed CIIP/DSP application and all supporting documents to the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission on your behalf.

STEP 5: Receive Pre-Approval

Wait for 2-3 weeks to receive your Approval In Principle from the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission (VCC). This letter means you have passed the Vanuatu CBI Program’s due diligence and background checks.

Now, the only thing left to do is to settle your investment payment in full.

STEP 6: Commit Capital

Pay the entire investment amount (depending on which investment option you have opted for, and based on whether you’re applying as a single person, a married couple, or a family).

Please note that the total amount must be paid only after receiving the approval of the primary applicant. You should never pay the entire investment prior to receiving the VCC’s Approval In Principle letter.

STEP 7: Approval Letter

Receive your Letter of Approval for Vanuatu citizenship.

This letter is typically issued within 2-3 weeks of your total capital contribution being settled.

STEP 8: Allegiance Oath

Next you need to take an Oath of Allegiance to Vanuatu.
