The Vanuatu Citizenship Application Process At A Glance:

Step 1: Initial due diligence checking of the client by your citizenship planning advisor.

Step 2: Sign your service contract, pay the due diligence fee of US$5,500, and submit your Stage 1 documents

a. Nomination Form filled in – Part 1 only
b. Passport Photo page (Certified)
c. Photo ID Card or Drivers License (Certified)
d. Personal Profile/Resume (CV) Education & Employment History
e. Police Clearance from place of residence (Certified)
f. Police Clearance from country of origin (Certified)
g. Birth Certificate or approved option (Certified) – if children are included in the application
h. Marriage Certificate (Certified) – if married

Step 3: Background check of the client conducted by the Financial Intelligence Unit of Vanuatu – feedback usually received within 96 hours. This results in an FIU Clearance letter being produced.

Step 4: Preparation of Stage 2 documentation in collaboration with your case advisor. This second administrative process ensures that the Vanuatu Government has all the documents required to complete the Citizenship process. We have a 100% success rate in completing Stage Two processing once the FIU clearance has been obtained.

Step 5: Citizenship By Investment application filing, payment of government-legislated contribution.

Step 6: Once the documents and Nomination Form are received and the contribution cleared by the Vanuatu Government, we receive a letter from the Citizenship Commission within 2-5 days confirming Citizenship approval.

Step 7: Once the Certificate and Passport/s are ready we arrange an Oath Taking Ceremony (via Skype) with a Commissioner of Oaths. The client takes the Oath, and the Commissioner signs the Citizenship Certificate. This takes about 5 minutes.

Step 8: Once the Commissioner signs the Citizenship Certificate our staff take it to the Passport Office and arrange for the Passport Office to send the Vanuatu Citizenship Certificate(s) and Vanuatu Passport(s) directly to you or anyone you authorize to receive these on your behalf.

PROCESS DURATION: The entire citizenship application process and passport issuance takes between 6 and 8 weeks to complete, making the Vanuatu CBI one of the fastest economic citizenship programs in the world. The Vanuatu Citizenship Commission sits twice a month, firstly mid month and then at the end of each month. Therefore, the speed of processing of an application after FIU clearance depends on how close to the next Citizenship Committee meeting the full documentation and fee is submitted.
